About Oxfordshire Climate Action
Climate Action Oxfordshire is an initiative aimed at empowering individuals, communities, and businesses to take action against climate change. The platform, provides information and resources to support efforts in combating the urgent climate emergency.
What they needed
As part of the Oxfordshire County Council's commitment to addressing climate change, there was a need to develop and launch a new website specifically tailored for their county-wide climate action campaign. This website serves as a central hub for raising awareness and driving meaningful action.
What I did for them
To meet these objectives, the development team, including myself, collaborated on implementing the client's request to utilize the LocalGov Drupal instance. This decision was made due to the suite of tools it provides, making it easy to customize, adjust, and expand functionalities. My primary responsibility was to work closely with a graphic designer to translate their designs into the Climate Action web platform, ensuring that the website is visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with the client's objectives.
Results
The Climate Action Oxfordshire portal has significantly advanced the county's efforts against climate change. It has raised awareness by providing clear information and practical steps for action, while also fostering engagement through user-friendly features. Aligned with strategic goals, the portal reflects the council's commitment to addressing climate change effectively.
